We are fortunate to have a great group of Medical Assistants on staff at Centre Pediatrics. There are two levels of Medical Assistants.
Our Level 1 Medical Assistants may check your child’s lead level after obtaining a finger stick blood sample. They also assist in the office on weekends, helping with your child’s scheduled sick visit.
Our Level 2 Medical Assistants are enrolled in nursing school. They have trained to administer vaccine, obtain and run blood tests, prepare college and camp health forms, and help find answers to questions you may have. You may meet them during a flu clinic or when coming in for immunizations.
Lab Technicians
We have very dedicated Lab Technicians. At each well visit a urinalysis is obtained for testing; the testing is performed by our Lab Techs. You may also meet our techs when your child is asked to visit the lab to have a finger stick blood draw done for an anemia check, cholesterol test and/or a lead test.
