About Us
Centre Pediatrics first opened up in a small house on Centre Street and was known as Drs. Cohen and Heller. In 1981 the practice incorporated, became Centre Pediatric Associates, PC. and in 1987 moved to its present location at One Brookline Place.
Dr. Bruce Bunnell joined the practice in 1990 and following the retirement of Dr. Cohen in 1993, he became a partner with Dr. Dan Heller. Dr. Tracey Daley joined the practice in 2000. Dr. Bunnell took over as Senior Partner in 2004 after the sudden death of Dr. Dan Heller. Dr. Tracey Daley became a Partner in 2006 and that same year both Dr. Kristin Kudley and Dr. Parag Amin joined our practice. Working in conjunction with the physician staff are five nurse practitioners; Robin Koskinen, PNP; Elizabeth DePrince Smith, PNP; Jennifer Gillard, PNP; Ellen McCue, PNP and Christine Gerson, PNP.
At Centre Pediatrics our doctors and nurse practitioners work as a team so we can assure delivery of the optimal quality of care for our patients. As Dr. Bunnell relates, “I think that patients and parents appreciate the personal attention they get from the providers at Centre Pediatrics. The collaborative approach utilizing physicians and nurse practitioners enables us to provide efficient care while maintaining our high quality standards. I enjoy working in an environment where I can spend some extra time with my patients and their families.”
Centre Pediatrics has a large staff supporting our physicians and nurse practitioners that includes nursing, medical assistants, laboratory techs, bookkeeping, medical records, referral coordinator, front desk staff, and billing staff. Karen Dias joined the practice in 2007 as the Practice Administrator. The management team consists of Marcia Stephens, RN, Nurse Manager and Diane McNabb, Front Desk Supervisor.
At Centre Pediatrics we take pride in the fact that our patients are never subjected to a lengthy wait time and are usually seen within ten minutes of arrival for their scheduled appointment. In an effort to provide efficient care we also have a morning “walk-in-hour”, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday thru Friday when sick children can be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Over the past year some exciting changes have taken place at Centre Pediatrics including a new Web site and the implementation of electronic medical records to provide better continuity of care to our patients.
